Personal Possessions Cover protects your belongings from loss or damage, offering up to £5,000 of collective coverage when you’re away from home.
What is Personal Possessions Cover?
Personal Possessions Cover protects your everyday belongings – such as mobile phones, laptops, clothing, cash, jewellery and musical instruments – from accidental loss or damage while you're out and about.
This optional add-on gives you peace of mind wherever you are.
Mobile phones, tablets, and laptops
You're covered for loss or damage to your devices when they're away from home, for up to 60 days.
Cameras and video equipment
Enjoy peace of mind knowing you're covered for loss or damage to your camera gear when you’re away from home, for up to 60 days.
Jewellery, purses, handbags and wallets
We've got you covered for loss or damage to these items while they’re outside of your home, for up to 60 days. If any item is worth over £1,500 then you'll need to add these as specified items.
Sporting or musical equipment
Whether it's your sport gear or musical equipment, you're covered for loss or damage to items when they're away from the home. Please note these items aren't covered whilst in use.
Bikes
You're covered for loss or damage to your bike (and e-bike if it doesn't need to be registered for road use), along with tyres and accessories like lights and helmets, up to £350 per bike (with a total limit for all bikes at £1,500) when you select Personal Possessions Cover.
If you have a bike worth more than £350, you can simply add them to your policy as individual items, ensuring they're fully protected.

Answers to important questions
I’d like to add Personal Possessions Cover to my policy.
You can only add Personal Possessions Cover to a new policy at the time of purchasing. If you have an existing policy, you can only add Personal Possessions cover if you are either moving address or renewing your policy.
To add Personal Possessions Cover to your policy when getting a quote with us, simply include it when you see your initial price. If you're moving or within renewal and want to add it on, simply call us on 0333 043 2001.
How can I add a bicycle to my home insurance policy?
Bikes valued up to £350 are automatically covered within your contents insurance. To extend this cover outside the home, your policy must include Personal Possessions Cover.
Any bikes valued at more than £350 need to be added to your policy as a specified item. The maximum coverage for each bike over £350 is £2,500.
To add cover outside the home for bikes valued at less than £350 or for high-value bikes, simply give us a call on 0333 043 2001.

How do I make changes to my home insurance policy?
If you’d like to make a change to your home insurance policy – like update your personal details, add or remove a joint policyholder or add extra items to your cover – just give our friendly Customer Service team a call on 0333 043 2001 and they’ll take care of this for you.
