What is Home Emergency Cover?
Home Emergency Cover is for urgent situations like a burst pipe or a broken boiler. It covers sudden damage that makes your home unsafe or uninhabitable, providing emergency repairs to fix the immediate issue.
If an emergency occurs, we'll send a qualified tradesman from our approved suppliers to fix it. You'll be covered up to £1000 and have access to a 24/7 helpline.
You can you make unlimited claims on this policy, with up to £1,000 covered per claim. Plus, there’s no excess to pay on this product.
Plumbing failures
We’ll cover emergencies caused by sudden damage or failure of your internal plumbing system, resulting in water leaks from pipes, tanks, appliances, or heating systems that cause damage to your home.
Boiler and central heating failure
If your central heating system unexpectedly fails due to mechanical or electrical issues—not caused by wear and tear—don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. And if it’s beyond repair, we’ll give you £500 towards a replacement.
Electrical emergencies
These are emergencies caused by failures in your home's wiring. This includes fuse boxes, switches, and sockets.
Drainage failures
We’ll cover emergencies caused by sudden damage or failure of your home's drainage system.
Pest infestation
Need to call pest control? Leave it to us. We’ll assist in removing any wasp, hornet, rat or mice infestation inside your home.
Gas supply failures
If you experience a gas leak in your home, we’ll cover the cost of emergency damage caused by the internal gas supply. Assistance will be provided only after the National Gas Emergency Service has attended and isolated the leak.
Roofing & security issues
We'll cover the cost of emergency repairs to make your home safe and secure if there is damage to the roof or your external locks or windows.

Answers to important questions
I'd like to add Home Emergency Cover to my policy
You can only add Home Emergency Cover to a new policy at the time of purchasing. If you have an existing policy, you can only add Home Emergency Cover if you are either moving address or renewing your policy.
To add Home Emergency Cover to your policy when getting a quote with us, simply include it when you see your initial price. If you're moving or within renewal and want to add it on, simply call us on 0333 043 2001.

How do I make changes to my home insurance policy?
