What are the benefits of myRAC?

Reporting your breakdown

It takes only a few minutes to report your breakdown, allowing expert local patrols to quickly find your location, using the app’s embedded maps. You’ll also be able to see your patrol’s estimated arrival time and receive regular updates of their whereabouts.

Set car reminders

You can input all your important car dates and set handy reminders to make sure you never forget your MOT test, servicing, road tax and insurance renewals. The app sends notification reminders, keeping you on top of all your car needs.

Would you like to add or upgrade RAC Breakdown Cover to your policy?

If you have an existing car insurance policy with 1st Central and would like to add RAC Breakdown Cover, you can take out cover at any time during the year by logging into Your Account. If you already have 1st Central Plus or Premier insurance, then you can upgrade your RAC Breakdown Cover via Your Account or over the phone. It’s always worth checking that you don’t already have breakdown cover, this can be included with your bank account or when you buy a new vehicle.

If you’re a new customer you can take out Breakdown Cover when you purchase a car insurance policy online or over the phone.

Does your Breakdown Cover me in other cars I drive?

No, this cover is only for the insured vehicle.

How do I make changes to my car insurance policy?

Your Account is the place to go to make updates to your policy and if you make a change through Your Account, you'll benefit from paying a reduced admin fee.
